Senior Automotive Technician
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Automotive Technician to join our automotive service center.
This is a single position for an all-round automotive technician who can diagnose, repair and maintain complete vehicle systems using professional workshop and diagnostic equipment.
Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair engine faults, including overheating, oil consumption, coolant leaks, compression problems, abnormal noise and performance issues.
- Perform engine repairs, component replacement and major engine work when required.
- Repair and replace timing belts, timing chains, tensioners, pulleys, engine mounts and related components.
- Diagnose and repair automatic and manual transmission problems and perform transmission servicing and related repairs.
- Diagnose and repair suspension systems, including shock absorbers, control arms, bushings, ball joints, stabilizer links and related components.
- Diagnose and repair steering systems, including steering racks, tie rods and power steering components.
- Inspect and repair brake systems, including brake pads, discs, calipers, master cylinders and related components.
- Diagnose and repair cooling systems, including radiators, thermostats, water pumps, hoses and cooling fans.
- Diagnose and repair fuel systems, including fuel pumps, injectors and fuel delivery components.
- Inspect and repair wheel bearings, CV joints, drive shafts and drivetrain components.
- Diagnose vehicle vibration, abnormal noises, poor performance and drivability problems.
- Perform complete vehicle diagnosis using professional diagnostic scanners.
- Read and analyze diagnostic trouble codes, live data, sensor readings and vehicle operating parameters.
- Diagnose engine management and electronic control system faults.
- Diagnose ECU, TCM, BCM and other vehicle control module faults.
- Diagnose CAN-Bus and communication faults between vehicle control modules.
- Inspect, test and repair vehicle wiring, connectors, relays, fuses, grounds and electrical circuits.
- Locate short circuits, open circuits, excessive resistance and voltage-drop problems.
- Diagnose and repair battery, alternator, starter motor, charging and starting system faults.
- Diagnose battery drain and abnormal electrical power consumption.
- Diagnose ignition coils, spark plugs, electronic throttle systems, injectors and electronically controlled engine components.
- Test and diagnose crankshaft, camshaft, oxygen, temperature, pressure, ABS and other vehicle sensors and actuators.
- Diagnose ABS, traction control and electronic stability control system faults.
- Diagnose Airbag/SRS system faults.
- Diagnose electronic parking brake systems.
- Diagnose electronically controlled transmission system faults.
- Diagnose power windows, central locking, door locks and related systems.
- Diagnose electric mirrors and electric seat systems.
- Diagnose headlights, tail lights, indicators, brake lights and interior lighting systems.
- Diagnose dashboard, instrument cluster, gauges and warning-light faults.
- Diagnose horn, wiper and washer system faults.
- Diagnose parking sensors, reverse cameras and related vehicle electronic systems.
- Diagnose vehicle AC control systems, blower motors, relays, sensors, cooling fans and compressor control circuits.
- Diagnose radiator fan control and related electronic cooling system faults.
- Diagnose key, immobilizer and starting authorization system faults where applicable.
- Perform voltage, resistance, continuity and voltage-drop testing using professional testing equipment.
- Read and understand automotive wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
- Identify the root cause of faults before recommending or replacing components.
- Perform preventive maintenance, periodic servicing and complete vehicle inspections.
- Complete assigned repairs independently, accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain professional standards of workmanship, safety and workshop cleanliness.
Requirements
- Extensive practical experience in complete automotive diagnosis and repair.
- Strong knowledge of engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, brakes, cooling systems and drivetrain systems.
- Strong knowledge of modern vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting ability.
- Ability to perform both major vehicle repairs and advanced diagnostic work.
- Ability to use professional automotive diagnostic scanners, multimeters and workshop equipment.
- Ability to understand automotive wiring diagrams and electrical circuits.
- Experience working with Japanese, Korean, American and European vehicles is preferred.
- Ability to independently identify the root cause of vehicle faults and complete the required repair.

- Previous professional garage or automotive service center experience is required.
