Job Summary
The Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role involves processing payments, maintaining cash registers, and ensuring smooth billing operations in a fast-paced food service or retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

Process customer orders and handle cash, card, and digital payments accurately
Issue receipts, refunds, and change while following company procedures
Maintain an organized and balanced cash register at all times
Provide friendly and professional customer service
Assist customers with inquiries regarding menu items, pricing, and promotions
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the cashier counter and work area
Coordinate with kitchen or service staff to ensure accurate order processing
Monitor and report any discrepancies in transactions
Follow company policies related to cash handling, hygiene, and food safety
Support basic administrative or operational tasks when required

Requirements

Proven experience as a cashier or in a customer service role
Basic math and computer skills
Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Attention to detail and accuracy in transactions
High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Skills
