Description
I am selling my Smart Cara waste food instant processor for PETs. It's about 6–12 months old, in excellent condition and has seen only light use. The unit is gray with a top-loading design and a clear circular lid that lets you monitor processing. Controls are on the right side with simple buttons for power and functions. It has no active warranty. I’ve used it mostly for small household food waste and it works quietly and efficiently. Included is the main unit only as shown in the photos. Product specifications/features:
- Age: 6-12 months
- Condition: Excellent

This is a SmartCara (Model PCS350) Food Waste Disposal unit. Unlike a standard garbage disposal that washes waste down a sink, this is a food dehydrator and processor.
It works by grinding food scraps and then baking them dry, significantly reducing their volume and odor. Here is a step-by-step description of how it works:
The Core Operating Cycle
The machine has three primary functions shown on the right-hand control panel: Grinding (labeled "Gelding" in the translation, which means pulverizing), Drying, and Sterilizing.
1. Grinding & Dehydration: You place food scraps into the large black circular bucket. When you select the grinding mode, a powerful 500W motor drives a heavy-duty grinding plate and blades at the bottom of the bucket. This rapidly crushes the waste into a fine, wet pulp. Simultaneously, the machine uses centrifugal force or a pressing mechanism to squeeze the moisture out of the pulp. This extracted liquid is drained into an internal water collection tank (which needs to be emptied periodically).
2. Drying: Once the waste is pulverized and squeezed, the machine switches to the Drying mode. An internal heating element turns on to cook and evaporate the remaining moisture from the wet pulp. This stage turns the paste into a dry, crumbly, almost soil-like powder. The hot, damp air is pushed out through the ventilation holes (like the one visible in the top right corner of the top lid).
3. Sterilizing: The final stage uses high heat (or UV light depending on the internal mechanism) to kill bacteria, mold spores, and prevent the final dried product from smelling.
Control Panel Functions (Right side):
· Power button (Bottom): Turns the unit on or off.
· Gelding (Grinding): Starts the initial food crushing and moisture extraction process.
· Drying: Turns on the heating element to evaporate leftover water.
· Sterilizing: Sanitizes the machine and the processed waste.
· Cleaning (Cross icon): Triggers an internal washing/self-cleaning cycle for the bucket and blades to prevent build-up.
Crucial Installation & Safety Notes (from the back label):
· Ventilation: The manufacturer explicitly warns to place the appliance 15 cm (6 inches) away from walls in a well-ventilated area so the hot air expelled during the drying process can escape.
· Water Warning: Do not submerge the unit in water.
· Service: Always unplug the machine before cleaning or servicing it, and do not attempt to open or repair it yourself, as there is a risk of electric shock.
· Empty the water tank: Though not pictured, you must regularly empty the water tank filled from the grinding process, or the machine will fail to operate correctly
