For sale is my beautifully preserved Canon 7 rangefinder camera paired with the classic Canon Lens 50mm f/1.8 LTM (Leica Thread Mount).

The Canon 7 is considered one of the finest Japanese rangefinder cameras ever produced and was Canon’s answer to Leica during the golden age of film photography. Built with exceptional mechanical quality, it combines vintage character with a highly usable shooting experience.

Unlike many vintage cameras that are mainly collectible display pieces, the Canon 7 remains an excellent practical shooter with a bright rangefinder, smooth controls, and compatibility with Leica Thread Mount (L39/LTM) lenses.

A bit of history

The Canon 7 was introduced in the early 1960s and became famous for bringing advanced features to rangefinder photography at a much lower price than Leica cameras of the time.

It was one of the last and most advanced Canon rangefinders before Canon transitioned fully into SLR systems. The camera also became historically important because it was designed to support Canon’s legendary 50mm f/0.95 “Dream Lens.”

Today, the Canon 7 is appreciated by collectors and photographers alike for its solid build quality, classic styling, and unique shooting experience.
